Roman was born and lived in Soviet Russia until age eight and then in Israel until age fifteen. He came to Canada and settled with his family at Sheppard and Bathurst, right in the heart of York Centre. He is fluent in Russian and Hebrew, giving him a distinct advantage to win our riding.
Roman went to high school at W.L. Mackenzie, obtained a B.A. from York University and graduated from Law School at Western University. He practices civil and commercial litigation with a boutique law firm in York Centre and is an occasional lecturer at a leading after-school program, engaging high school students on constitutional and criminal law topics.
Roman has been an avid Conservative activist since undergrad as President of the York University Conservative Club. He assumed senior roles on both of Mark Adler's federal campaigns and the Patrick Brown Leadership Campaign.
Roman is a dedicated Toronto Raptors fan and member of the Jewish Russian Community Centre.
